Alden is in Erie County in Western New York.
Understand
Alden is generally a rural town, with the main village located in the southern part of Alden. As of the 2010 Census, the town had a population of 10,865 people, while the village had 2,605 residents. Since it is small and out of the way, there are no tourists in Alden.
Get in
By car
Several miles north of Alden is the New York State Thruway (Interstate 90). Westbound travelers will want to take Exit 48A in Pembroke. To get to the village from the exit, drive south on NY 77 (Alleghany Road) and then turn right on US 20 (Broadway).If you are driving eastward to Alden, you will want to exit at Exit 49 in Cheektowaga, and then drive south on NY 78 (Transit Road) to US 20 (Broadway).

The Alden Town ParkIt is a nice place to walk around and relax, and it hosts "Winterfest" in early February and a carnival in June. Not to be confused with Robert O. Smith Park half a mile down the road and the town square.

There are several nice restaurants, with the vast majority in the village. There are also multiple fast-food restaurants, which include McDonald's, Subway, and Tim Hortons.

Alden does not have any hotels.
