By car via the Torpoint ferry, by passenger ferry from Stonehouse in Plymouth to Cremyll and then by bus, or usually, by boat from the Barbican area of Plymouth
Get around
A very pleasant day can be had by doing a round trip - getting across by boat from the barbican and then taking a bus to Cremyll (infrequent) and catching the ferr across the Tamar.
See
The beaches are not large but are interesting for children with an old lime kiln and numerous rock pools.
Do
There are good walks - into the Mount Edgecombe Estate towards Plymouth and the other way to the wooded headland of Penlee Point and/or to Rame Head.
