The Craggaunowen folk park in the Ireland's County Clare consists of historical sites and reconstructions of historical sites from different ages, embedded in a beautiful landscape.The folk park is not on one of the major tourist routes and therefore much less crowded than Bunratty for example.

Tim Severin, the constructor of this boat, sailed it to Newfoundland to prove that it was really possible to make that distance with the material and techniques that were available at the time.
