CulrossFife. Culross is a charming village some 10 miles west of Dunfermline, in Fife. It has a palace, abbey and many fine and restored buildings from the 16th and 17th century.
By BusBuses run every hour or so from Dunfermline and Stirling. Stagecoach 78 takes about half an hour from Dunfermline. There are connections at Dunfermline from Edinburgh.

The Palace, Study and Town Housein the care of the National Trust for Scotland. . The restored town is a rare example of a 17th-century burgh.
