Feltre lies in the southern reaches of the Belluno province, Italy. This hill city is located on the Stizzon River, about 4 km from its junction with the Piave, and 20 km southwest from Belluno. The Dolomites loom to the north of the town.
Feltre is one of the most picturesque walled towns of Veneto, combining Middle Ages buildings with Venetian-style frescoed façades palaces.
In addition to being the hub of city life, the central Piazza Maggiore is also the place where the main celebrations related to Feltre’s famous Palio take place.
Local produce, like walnuts, potatoes, beans and apples, together with traditional varieties of cheese and butter, are the key ingredients of Feltre’s cuisine... so, why not have a stop at a local restaurant or trattoria to complete your visit?
