Get in
Can be done as a day-trip from Natal, mostly by buggy.
From the terminus Santa Rita bordering the south end of the beach, there are buses to Natal, some crossing the new bridge (allegedly quicker for Ponta Negra) and others the old upriver.

Do
- Buggy tours - Only drivers certified by the tourist board are allowed on the dunes.
- Camel rides
- Sunset - The dune is also a good spot for watching the sunset.
- Esquibunda - Slide down large dunes on wooden plates and end in a lagoon. Good way to cool and beat the heat.
Eat
Food at the beach shacks has rather high prices.
- Cheap set lunches can be had at several spots around the Santa Rita bus terminus.
Drink
Many shacks on the beach.
