Greenwood is a city in Mississippi, located at the junction of the rivers Tallahatchie and Yalobusha, from whereon after it's called the Yalobusha. It's known for its extensive cotton production and remembered as one of the centres of conflict during the Civil Rights era.Get in
Both U.S Routes 82 and 49 pass through Greenwood. The Mississippi Highway 7 connects the city to other towns in the region, including Grenada and Itta Bena. If you're looking to get in by public transport, the Amtrak trains offer good options, with connections to New Orleans and Chicago.
