Hankey

Hankey is situated in a citrus producing area in the Gamtoos River Valley. The town is mainly a residence for many of the citrus farmworkers and have little to offer tourists.

By car

Follow the N2 West from Port Elizabeth (about 70km) or the N2 East from Garden Route and take the Humansdorp turnoff (R330). Follow the R330 to Hankey.

By plane

The nearest domestic airport is Port Elizabeth Airport, approximately 110 km away, the nearest international airport is Cape Town International Airport, approximately 600 km away.

  There are four self-catering cottages, Each cottage has a large double bedroom and a second room for three guests (sleeping five guests in total). Extra beds and a baby cot can be added if required. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a fridge, hotplate, microwave, electric frying pan, toaster and kettle. A gas geyser supplies hot water for the shower and basins. The spacious lounge provides enough place for relaxing and reading. There is also a campsite in a large grass-covered area surrounded by indigenous trees. Electricity is available in the ablution facility.
