- Broadbottom is a great village to visit: on the Manchester-Glossop train line, it's lovely destination for a picnic at the Lymefield/ Broadmills site (lots of industrial heritage there) and a good starting point for many walks.

Clarendon Square Shopping Centre caters for much of Hyde's retail with more shopping areas surrounding this center, although Hyde is surrounded by major shopping destinations such as Stockport, Manchester, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne and the Trafford Centre. The town centre features many well-known nationwide chain stores such as; Wm Morrison supermarkets, ASDA, B&Q, InStore and ALDI, as well as many independent retailers.
