Do
Trekking. The undulated green plains and the hilly terrains emerging from Karjat plains make this place a much sought destination for adventurous tourists for trekking.
Karjat is one of the starting point for various treks in the Sahyadris, one of which is Rajmachi. A rickshaw ride from Karjat bridge will take you to Kondivde village or Khandpe village. From Kondivde it takes 15 minutes to walk to Kahndpe village. Khandpe village forms the base of the Rajmachi trek. It is a 7 km ascend to the Rajmachi village (about 2.5 hours). After about 45 minutes from the village one reaches Kondhane Caves. A beautiful waterfall covers the caves and it is an experience in itself to see the huge waterfall from within the caves. Rajmachi village forms the base to trek to two forts - Manarajan (also known as Manoranjan) and Srivardhan, is adorned by a beautiful lake and a temple. One can also view waterfalls from the small tableland of Rajmachi.
Water Rafting. The river Ulhas offers a good spot for water rafting (Rapid Level unknown)
