• Khari Shareef is located 8 kilometers from Mirpur, a black top road runs to Khari Shareef, it is a place of religious importance. This place is well known due to the shrines of Baba Peer-e-Shah Ghazi and Mian Mohammad Buksh.
• Mangla is a small, beautiful and modern town at a distance of 110 kilometers from Islamabad and 15 kilometers from Mirpur City. Visit Mangla Blue Water Resort .
• Mangla Dam is World’s third largest earth-filled dam on the River Jehlum. It is situated 115 km south-east of Islamabad. After traveling for 101 km on G.T. Road, we have to travel turn left from Dina to cover remaining 14 km. There is an old Gakkhar Fort on the dam to have a panoramic view of the lake.
• Mirpur town
• Ramkot Fort is built over the site of an old Hindu temple. Three sides of this hill top are surrounded by River Jhelum. During excavations relics of the 5th - 9th century AD have been discovered. It is located on the opposite side of the town of Mirpur and one has to cross Mangla Lake on boat to reach there. A 10 minutes travel by road from Mirpur leads to Sukhian and nearby Army Water Sports Club from where boats are available for access to Ramkot Fort. It takes 45 minutes to reach there.

Mirpur is also known as the shopping capital of Azad Kashmir, Mirpur has a large and diverse shopping area, centred around Chowk Shaheeda & Mian Mohammed Road. There are many stores, plazas, shopping malls & markets in these thoroughfares, selling everything from hand made pottery to international brands.
The under construction Nosha Shopping Centre will be one of the largest shopping centers of the city when completed
