The village is less than 50km from Milan, where you'll also find the nearest major Italian airport. The village is served by the SS340, which follows the western shores of Lake Como. The city of Como lies about 6km south of Monstrasio along this road.

Villa FontanelleBuilt in the 19th century by Lord Charles Currie, this yellow painted mansion on the shores of Lake Como was owned by Giovanny Versace until he was murdered in 1997. The villa received many celebrity guests in its day, but now awaits a new, wealthy owner.
