Lake MemphremagogNewport is on the shoreline of the large lake and has a wooden boardwalk that can be walked or biked that leads over the water. It is also rumored that the lake holds a lake monster, Memphre.

Newport Cycle PathThe former Massawippi Valley Railway line from Newport to Lennoxville was abandoned in 1990 and the track removed in 1992. Three segments are now cycle trails: the Newport Cycle Path from Newport to the Canadian border and (in Quebec) Beebe Plain to Ayers Cliff and North Hatley to Lennoxville.
