The only airport with regular passenger flights in the region is Czech Airlines operate fligts from Prague and Ryanair operates flights from London and Milan. The airport is connected to train station.Another option is to use Katowice International Airport (KTW) in Poland situated 120 kilometres northeast of Ostrava. The airport has direct connections with over 30 destinations across Europe and Asia. The journey from the airport to Ostrava by car takes a little bit over one hour when using A1/D1 highway. Also, buses are available.
