  The Glasgow Pont Hotel is a historical site, situated on the border between the Northern Cape, Eastern Cape and the Free State provinces. The hotel was established in 1856 to accommodate the numerous Trekkers passing through from Colesberg into the Free State, to escape the British imperialism. It has been serving trans-Orange travellers for more than 150 years at this important junction.
