Raufarhöfn is Iceland's most northernmost town with approximately 200 inhabitants in North Iceland.

By car
You can get to Raufarhöfn on road 874 from the southwest (paved) from Husavik or road 85 (paved) Þórshöfn / Vopnafjörður from south-east or directly from road 1 in the south via the Dettifoss and road .Alternative you can get to Raufarhöfn from the north-west around the peninsula on road 870 (unpaved) via Kópasker.
By plane
Raufarhöfn airport is few kilometers south of the town, but is apparently not serviced by any airlines. The closest airports serviced by airlines (Iceland Air) are Akureyri airport and Þórshöfn airport.By bus
Strætó connects Raufarhöfn with Húsavík, Akureyri and Þórshöfn with a bus once a day (not on Saturdays). The bus is number 79.See
