San Remigio has the longest coastline on Cebu Island. As a result, the town is relatively sprawled out along the coast. The town center (Poblacion) is the main commercial center while the barangay of Tambongon hosts a secondary business district for the southern part of the municipality.
By busIntercity buses arrive from and depart to North Bus Terminal in Mandaue, Metro Cebu, about 100 km away. The trip takes 3 to 4 hours depending on traffic. There are three bus terminals in San Remigio. The municipal hall stop serves the town center, while a terminus station located in the barangay of Bugoson serves the southern part of the municipality and the Hagnaya Port terminus serves the barangay of Hagnaya and Bantayan Island. Fares start at ₱110.
By carSan Remigio is easily accessible from Metro Cebu by road via the Central National Highway/Cebu North Hagnaya Wharf Road (signed as Highway 810) which leads directly into the town center and northwards to Hagnaya Port.
