Tra Vinh is a city in southern Vietnam.Get in
There are direct minibuses from HCMC. Another option is to arrive by boat. Either a private charter or you can try to get on a cargo boat from Ben Tre.
Get around
The centre itself is small enough to cover on foot. To explore the greater area you can rent a bike from the tourist office or via some hotels.
The tourist office sells a map (20,000 dong, Jan 2012) which covers both the city and Tra Vinh Province.
A place to rent motorbikes is located on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai 42B (about 5-10 minute walk from the centre). The shop is called Nguyet.
Price for a decent automatic is 200,000 dong, a manual transmission is 100,000-150.000 dong. (Jan 2012)
