Zahamena National Park is particularly famous for its birdlife — it hosts 112 bird species, 67 of which are endemic to Madagascar. The park is a habitat for the threatened Madagascan serpent eagle and the critically endangered indri (one of the largest living lemur species).Climate
Get in
The national park is about 200 km northwest of the capital Antananarivo (as the crow flies). The closest towns are Amparafaravola, Ambatondrazaka and Toamasina.
